Neue Bilder aus Josefow!
Von M. Walsdorf wurden uns freundlicherweise einige Fotos zur Verfügung gestellt, die zeigen, wie es in Josefow heute aussieht (siehe "Bilder"). Die alten Sielerhäuser verfallen, aber immerhin ist die Kirche im Vergleich zu 1989 neu gestrichen worden. Unter
www.galizien.org sind weitere Bilder, vor allem auch einige Grabsteine, zu sehen.

M. Walsdorf kindly sent us some pictures showing Josefow like it is today (see
"pictures"). The old settler's homes go rack and ruin. But at least, the church
has a new coating compared to 1989. There are some more pictures -- mainly
gravestones -- at www.galizien.org.

The birth place listed is: Strymbenia, Bessarabia.
My ancestors, Heinrich, Johann and Jacob Busch (b.1880's) are from Strembeni Bessarabia.

Aus der Schweiz kam neulich Post. Fred Feller war so aufmerksam und hat auf dem Obersimmentaler Hausweg, einem ausgeschilderten Wanderweg bei Zweisimmen, ein Haus entdeckt, das 1694 für Andres Trüthart gebaut wurde. Dieses gut erhaltene prachtvolle Bauernhaus ist
hier zu sehen.
Interessant ist für uns ja auch die Tatsache, dass die Schreibweise Trüthart bereits in der Schweiz vorkommt, der Name also nicht nur bei irgendwelchen Auswanderungen geändert wurde.
Allen, die mal ins Berner Oberland kommen, sei dieser Wanderweg empfohlen. Recently
I became a mail from Switzerland. Fred Feller was very alert, when he walked the
"Obersimmentaler Hausweg"-trail in Zweisimmen. He found a farmhouse
which was built for Andres Trüthart in 1694. You can watch this gorgeous
farmhouse here.
For us it's also very interesting that the spelling Trüthart is to be found in
Switzerland and not only in connection with people who somehow emigrated.
We recommend this hiking trail to everyone who comes to the Berner Oberland.

Hallo liebe Familie Tritthart,
ich bin auf der Suche nach Informationen über meine Vorfahren, die viele Jahre lang in Uliczno gelebt haben.
Viele Freunde meiner Familie haben in Gassendorf gelebt. Diese treffe ich jedes Jahr auch auf der Kerb. Leider können diese sich kaum noch an Details von Uliczno erinnern, weil dort ja bekannterweise hauptsächlich Ukrainer gelebt haben und nur wenige Deutsche. Ich suche darum Personen, Namen vovn Familien, die dort gelebt haben und erhoffe mir davon mehr Informationen bzgl. meiner Vorfahren. Heute bin ich auf den Namen von Adolf Tritthart gestoßen, der dort geboren wurde. Von Gassendorf gibt es z.B. einen Ortsplan mit den Familiennamen. Gibt es sowas auch von Uliczno? Vielleicht kann jemand von Ihnen helfen.

I am looking for information on my ancestors who lived in Uliczno for many
years. Many friends of my family lived in Gassendorf. Every year I meet them on
the Kerb. Unfortunately most of them can't remember any details of Uliczno
because mostly Ukrainians lived there, only a few Germans. Therefore, I look for
persons and family names who lived there, and I hope to get more information on
my ancestors. Today I found the name of Adolf Tritthart who was born there.
There is a map of Gassendorf e.g. Does any map of Uliczno exist, too? Perhaps
