The Trüthart-Home

This gorgeous house is located in Alteried close to Zweisimmen / Switzerland (see map). It was built for Andres Trüthart and his wife Barbara Ubert in 1694. The name Trüthart can be read within the inscription on front side.

Today this farmhouse is called Stockerhaus because it belonged to Mr. Stocker for a long time. When he died the property went to the commune of Zweisimmen but was sold recently.

The trail "Obersimmentaler Hausweg" takes course along this beautiful farmhouse which is mentioned in the trail prospect. The hiking trail is recommended for all who are interested in architecture and old farming history. You can walk this way by easy stages.

It was  Fred Feller from Switzerland who found this home and told us about it and kindly sent us some pictures.
